What does it mean to be a foster family?Wat houdt het in om opvanggezin te zijn?
As a foster family, you temporarily welcome a dog or cat into your home. These may be animals that have just been rescued, need to recover from surgery, still need socialisation, or are simply waiting to be adopted. You provide them with a warm and stable environment where they can grow, feel safe, and regain trust. The length of the foster period varies: sometimes it is just a few weeks, sometimes a little longer. Together with TWAS, we look at what is realistic and manageable for you.
What do we expect from you?
You have time, patience, and a heart for animals. You are able to provide a safe and loving environment. You are willing to observe the animal’s behaviour and progress. You are open to guidance and advice. You are flexible and communicate well with the TWAS team.
